SkyATC - read the radio on VATSIM and IVAO
===============================================================

Listens to ATC on VATSIM or IVAO, writes down what was said and shows
you what to answer - ready to read out, with a plain-language
  explanation underneath.

The program starts in English. You can switch it to German:
click your callsign at the top left, then pick the language.

---------------------------------------------------------------
  WHAT YOU NEED
---------------------------------------------------------------

  - Windows 10 or 11, 64 bit
  - Your licence key
  - A pilot client: vPilot, xPilot or Swift
  - An internet connection
  - Recommended: a graphics card. It runs without one,
    but noticeably slower.

On first start it downloads about 1.6 GB of speech
recognition. Depending on your connection this takes a few
  minutes and happens only once.

---------------------------------------------------------------
  GETTING STARTED
---------------------------------------------------------------

  1. Connect to the network first, then start SkyATC.exe.

The first time, Windows shows a blue warning
("Windows protected your PC"). Every program without a
     paid signature gets this.
     -> click "More info"
     -> click "Run anyway"

  2. Enter your licence key. Never needed again after that.

  3. Your callsign should appear at the top left. If it says
"Callsign?", click it and type it in - the spoken form
     fills itself in.

  4. Under "Audio from", your pilot client must be selected.
If something else is listed, pick the right one and press
     "Rescan".

  5. Press "Demo". That shows you an example of how it looks
in flight, without a controller waiting for you.

  6. Press "Listen". Done.

---------------------------------------------------------------
  WHAT YOU SEE
---------------------------------------------------------------

Blue = what the controller said
Green = what YOU answer now (just read it out)
Below = what it means, and the numbers as digits

The full radio traffic runs down the left side. Transmissions
meant for you are marked "FOR YOU".

A bar at the bottom left shows the audio level. If it moves
during radio traffic, sound is arriving.

---------------------------------------------------------------
  IF SOMETHING DOES NOT WORK
---------------------------------------------------------------

  The level bar stays still
-> Wrong audio source. Pick a different entry.
-> Or your client sends audio to another device.

Nothing arrives although the bar moves
-> The frequency noise is very high. Please report it,
       that can be tuned.

  "Licence server not reachable"
-> Check your internet connection. The key is verified
       at every start.

"Key is already in use on another computer"
-> One key covers one PC. If you change machines, contact
the seller and the binding will be released.

---------------------------------------------------------------
  BEING HONEST WITH YOU
---------------------------------------------------------------

Recognition is good, but not perfect. Strong accents and
  noisy frequencies cost accuracy.

Important: the program never guesses. If it is unsure about
a number, it leaves it out rather than showing a wrong one.
So if nothing appears where you expected something - ask the
controller to "say again". That is safer than reading out an
  invented clearance.

You remain responsible for what you transmit.

---------------------------------------------------------------
  YOUR RECORDINGS
---------------------------------------------------------------

  Every transmission is recorded to:
    C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\Local\SkyATC\recordings

These stay on your computer. If something was misheard,
sending those recordings in helps a great deal - that is how
  the program gets better.
